Holiday Cottages

Near to Brechfa Forest, Teifi and Tyweli Rivers, Cardigan Bay

Our holiday cottages are converted from 200 year old stone barns set in a picturesque farmyard setting and surrounded by 30 acres of farmland. A small orchard next to the cottages is home to an ancient standing stone. The barns have been refurbished to offer stylish and comfortable accommodation - ideal for those in search of a peaceful rural holiday. Dogs are welcome.

Within easy reach are the excellent sandy beaches of the Cardigan coastline, Brechfa Forest (ideal for walking and cycling) and the Teifi and Tyweli Rivers (fishing available). On the farm, Mark will take you on guided tour of the woodland walk and you can meet our goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and sheep.

Standing Stone Cottage has a large sitting-room with log burning stove and a modern kitchen/dining-room. Stairs to first floor: one double bedroom, one twin bedded room, bathroom with bath and hand-held shower attachement. Night storage heating.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped and comes with the essentials to get started including tea, coffee, milk, sugar, cooking oil, etc. A freshly baked complimentary cake will be left for you to enjoy upon your arrival.

Hen Hafod is converted from the farms original stables and has a stylish sitting-room with adjacent dining table, modern kitchen, and bathroom with power shower. Stairs to mezzanine level: one double bedroom. French doors open onto a south facing patio garden. Night storage heating.

On Llwyncrwn Farm

  • Enjoy a picnic in one of the fields, by the ponds or in the woods
  • Walk in 30 acres of fields with ponds, hedgerows and orchards
  • Take a farm tour and meet the animals: pigs, goats, ducks, chickens and sheep
  • Explore the woodland walk and stroll around the ponds
  • Watch the many bird varieties and other wildlife

Other services available

We can serve evening meals in your cottage. All our food is home cooked, and much is produced here or sourced from neighbouring farms. We will be happy to discuss your requirements.
Fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables grown on the farm, free range eggs from our own chickens and our own outdoor reared pork are available for purchase subject to availability. Freshly baked bread is also available.

Logistics

Arriving and departing

Weekly bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. Please arrive no earlier than 3pm and depart by 10am to allow time for cleaning. Short breaks are also available; please telephone to discuss your requirements.

Payment

A deposit of 40% is payable at the time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to you holiday.
Booking is not confirmed until we confirm availability and payment is received.

Cleaning

The cottage is cleaned between lets, meaning that all you need to do when you arrive is unpack, put the kettle on and explore the cottage and farm! There is no extra charge for this service unless extra heavy cleaning is required after you leave, or you do not leave the property and its contents as you find them.

Safety on the farm

Llwyncrwn is a working farm and for you own safety we ask you to follow these guidelines:
  • No smoking in the cottage
  • Ensure any gates that you open are closed behind you
  • Pets must be under strict control as we have livestock on the farm
  • Children must be supervised at all times whilst on Llwyncrwn Farm and must not be left alone in the cottage
  • Please read the safety instructions in the cottage
